Highlights
I'm a stickler about keeping current with the times. Researching a variety of topics is a daily activity, and coffee with an internet connection is how I start my day.
Our guiding lights are science, especially biology, and Mother Nature.

We keep politicians, big money, big pharma, big food, and the bought and paid-for allopathic medical system out of it as much as possible.
We want to keep our cats and kittens healthy and happy, naturally, and give them the best lives we can possibly give them.

We explore some hot topics in our blog section (under construction), and our personal experience and research have helped us make the decisions we've made.

01
All Breeders Are Bad
Many people sincerely and - intensely - believe this, and it is especially rampant in the 'rescue' sector. It's completely understandable in that arena because people in that field usually see the worst of the worst. The thing to understand is that there are many different types of 'breeders', from the most insidious puppy/kitty mills to the Backyard Breeders to what is considered the gold standard in the competition and show worlds with all the titles and champions.
02
Our Belief
Let's face it, the desire for a companion animal or having a pet will never go away (as much as PETA would like to see that happen). In the best light, pets are good for the heart and soul; in the worst light, they are unmitigated heartbreak.
We believe the more physically healthy and psychologically sound animals are available as companions, the less we need to 'rescue' them.

A New View
I've been on many sides of the fence.
I've rescued, adopted, and bred animals.
I've also been a credentialed animal behaviour specialist for over ten years and have studied nutrition since the early 1970s.
I understand that there is so much more to the issue than just black and white.

After spending a lifetime studying everything imaginable about animals and our social systems, I believe it's well overdue to leave the dogma behind and let go of some deeply held beliefs.

Purebred breeders are NOT always the best; thousands of purebred animals are in puppy and kitty mills worldwide, and --- there is absolutely nothing wrong with a cat or dog without a pedigree behind its name.

Making Some Changes!
It's time to hold the human race accountable for it's choices and actions.

It's not ok to let your intact pet out to roam freely and it's not ok to get a pet without doing your research and due diligence.

They are all sentient beings with emotions and feelings, and they are not ours to acquire and discard on a whim.
